This edition is about Geothermal energy and contains contributions from Niels Balling and Marton Major
Stergios Misios, Christoffer Karoff, and Mads Faurschou Knudsen from the Department of Geoscience and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Climate Change (iClimate) at Aarhus University - along with colleagues from Oxford University (UK) and the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg (Germany) - just published a new paper in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showing that the Sun’s 11-year cycle influences the dominant wind and rainfall patterns in the tropical Pacific. The new discovery strengthens confidence in model predictions of a weakened Walker circulation in a future warmer climate.
