Booking

Note the booking restrictions before proceeding to make your reservation:

  1. Access to Geoscience laboratories require that you have completed the Geoscience online lab-safety course as well as the 1:1 briefing by the head of the laboratories Charlotte Rasmussen.
  2. You may only book a specific lab or instrument after being instructed by the lab technologist responsible for the facility.
  3. Reservations are personal: Unless agreed with Charlotte Rasmussen you are not allowed to book labs or instruments for other users.
  4. You are required to enter timeslot (start and end time) and full name for the person that will be the main (responsible) user and (if applicable) will handle payment. For guests, students and other non-permanent staff: Provide the full name of Geoscience supervisor too.
  5. If the location contains several instruments or facilities, add information regarding which (one or more) you intend to use. Some instruments can be monitored or controlled remotely, add a comment if you intend to do so.
  6. Unless otherwise agreed: Do not book for longer periods of time, for fair distribution of lab time the maximum number of consecutive days is currently 3 days.
  7. Please keep to your time slot: If you need more time (and the facility is not reserved by others) you can book additional time slots.
  8. Prepare for cancellation, check your e-mail: If your booking collides with acute failures, maintenance or teaching activities in the area. If so, you will be contacted by e-mail as soon as we know.

Access and work in the Isotope lab must be coordinated with Rasmus Andreasen.

Is it your first time to book: Please contact the head of the laboratories Charlotte Rasmussen to receive permission to access the file.

When you book a timeslot, remember to enter 3 things:

  • The exact timeslot (start and end)
  • Your full name
  • If applicable, the required function!

For some laboratories the latter is vital, if there are several functions within the same room.

See example below.
