The LOC group (Lithospheric Organic Carbon) has been involved in a significant publication in Nature Communications.

It shows for the first time that degradation of organic matter in deep Pacific ocean trenches would cause enrichment of organic pollutants.

LOC has been involved in measurement of organic carbon degradation. The work has been led by the HADAL Centre of Excellence (SDU), in which we are collaborating.
