Hamed Sanei publishes new paper about the organic carbon story through the thermal maturity
New paper presents a new schematic model for generation and timing of multiple phases of solid bitumen throughout the continuum of organic matter maturation in source and tight reservoir rocks.
Hames Sanei’s paper “Genesis of solid bitumen” was just published in Scientific Reports. Hamed Sanei describes it like this: “The paper is my attempt to paint a more complete picture of the organic carbon story through the thermal maturity. I have also tried to set the record straight on highly confused subjects of bitumen, solid bitumen, and pyrobitumen, which are all different forms of secondary organic carbon formed in the sedimentary basins.”
