On 30 November 2021, Bo Holm Jacobsen was appointed new president of The Learned Society of Aarhus.

The Learned Society of Aarhus, which was founded on 15 October 1945, aims to hold meetings to discuss scientific issues and to publish a scientific series of writings (Acta Jutlandica). Since 1945, the company has arranged over 400 lectures with topics from all major areas of the university.

Admission of new members takes place according to professional motivation at the annual general meeting in November.
