Polish geoscience students on excursion to Western Jutland
A small group of geoscience students from Warsaw visited Department of Geoscience
On 27 and 28 April 2015 a group of eight Quaternary Geology students from Warsaw University, Poland visited our Department.
The students were taken by Jan Piotrowski for an excursion to Western Jutland to visit numerous localities related to glacial and interglacial stratigraphy, sedimentology, geomorphology and the Quaternary environmental change (see photographs).
Nice weather (although cold!) and high spirits contributed to a very successful encounter with the last 2.6 million years of Danish geology.
Our Department has a long and productive cooperation with the Faculty of Geology in Warsaw within the Erasmus framework and our students have now been invited for an excursion to Poland.
