Denmark's unknown astronomer was only recognised after 242 years: who was he?
Article in Videnskab.dk: Christian Horrebow was the first to suggest that the sun has a cycle. However, this was ignored by both his contemporaries and the posterity. The reason for this is to be found in a clock that went wrong and thus gave Christian Horrebow a reputation as unreliable.
