Welcome to AESIR: Aarhus Earth Science Isotope Research Laboratory.
Our ultra-clean ISO 5 facility is the ultra low particulate class 100 metal-free laboratory for sample digestion and elemental purification, designed by Picotrace in 2016.
The instrumentation of AESIR includes the Nu Plasma II multi-collector ICP-MS for high-precision isotope ratio measurements, Agilent 7900 quadrupole ICP-MS for determination of trace element abundances, Resonetics Resolution 193 nm laser coupled to either (or both) ICP-MS for in situ analysis. AESIR also has a Bruker Tornado XRF and a Tescan SEM:
Contact James Scott via cleanlab@geo.au.dk who coordinates projects in AESIR utilizing ICP-MS. Projects are prioritized at least one month in advance in order to facilitate users. Note that e-mails may be read by several staff-members.
Mandatory safety information for the ultra-clean area can be found on the AESIR safety page intended for lab users.
