Welcome to AESIR: Aarhus Earth Science Isotope Research Laboratory.
Our ultra-clean ISO 5 facility is class 100 metal-free laboratory with four workstations for sample digestion and elemental purification. This laboratory is designed by Picotrace and launched in 2016.
The instrumentation of AESIR includes the Nu Plasma II multi-collector ICP-MS for high-precision isotope ratio measurements, Agilent 7900 quadrupole ICP-MS for determination of trace element abundances, ATLEX laser coupled to either (or both) ICP-MS for in situ analysis, with a large Resonics sample chamber:
Contact James Scott via cleanlab@geo.au.dk who coordinates projects within AESIR utilizing ICP-MS. All projects are prioritized at least one month in advance in order to facilitate users. Note that e-mails may be read by several staff-members.
Mandatory safety information for the ultra-clean area can be found on the AESIR safety page intended for lab users.
AESIR also contains other instruments:
Both can be booked online.
