I am an igneous and metamorphic petrologist with research interests in Earth composition and tectonics, mineral resources and sustainability, enivronmental geochemistry, formation of the Solar System, and geoarcheology.
I apply a range of geochemical (major and trace elements, mineral compositions) and isotopic methods (e.g., Sr, Nd, Pb, Hf, Os, O) to rocks and minerals to understand their geological evolution.
I direct two citizen science meteor camera networks: Fireballs Aotearoa and the Nordic Meteor Network.
STUDENTS. I am seeking students at all levels (including post-doctoral students) to build a petrological research group at Aarhus. As a former Alexander von Humboldt fellow, I can host German post-doctoral students through that program.
