Denmark is a global leader in minimizing the carbon footprint of its oil production. Among the Danish fields, the Lower Cretaceous Valdemar Field stands out as having the lowest emissions per oil barrel produced. The Lower Cretaceous fields are associated to tectonic inversion structures and the understanding of the evolution and natural fracturing of these is the main topic of the research at Seislab, AU. The project consortium consists of researchers at DTU, KU, AU and GEO.
