ESP at 33rd Nordic Geological Winter Meeting

January 10-12, 2018

This year's Nordic Geological Winter Meeting was hosted at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, and was co-organized by the Geological Society of Denmark and DTU. The meeting aims to cover a wide range of geological topics and offers a venue for presenting research and networking with colleagues from the Nordic countries. In fact, the 3-day meeting covered no less than 17 topics with a total of 52 sessions of which included 377 oral presentations and 157 posters. More than 600 people attended the conference. People came to the conference from all over the world including – Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, UK og USA.

The ESP team had a very strong presence at the meeting this year. Thomas Ulrich and Thorsten Nagel served on the Scientific Program Committee in their respective fields, Economic Geology, and Metamorphic rocks and processes. Additionally, Christian Tegner, Eric Brown, Thomas Ulrich, and Thorsten Nagel co-convened several sessions:
