Associate Professor Emerita Karen Luise Knudsen from the Department of Geoscience is this year’s recipient of the very prestigious award in foraminiferal micropaleontology, The Joseph A. Cushman Award, which she received for her outstanding contributions to foraminiferal-based research. It is the second time a researcher from Aarhus University receives the prestigious award, as Rolf Feyling-Hanssen received the prize in 1996.
