What is a research vessel? What do you use it for? And geologists mostly study soil, so what on earth are they doing on the ship? What are they going to do with all the mud they bring up from the seabed? How can slick mud tell anything about Earth's past? You can get answers to all that and much more when the research vessel Aurora opens to the public on the weekend of 3 - 5 June, together with Geoscience, Ecoscience, Biology and Molecular Biology.

You can get on board the ship and see it both from the deck and from the inside, and a team of researchers is ready to tell, explain and answer questions.
