REEBOX PRO now available!

We are pleased to announce the official launch of REEBOX PRO! As of today, you can read and download the open access Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems article describing REEBOX PRO, written by ESP's Eric Brown and Charles Lesher.

REEBOX PRO is a stand-alone application for Mac and PC that can simulate adiabatic decompression melting of both passively and actively upwelling mantle, containing up to five distinct lithologies (anhydrous peridotite, hydrous peridotite, harzburgite, G2 pyroxenite, and MIX1G pyroxenite).

After specifying mantle potential temperature, plate half-spreading rate, and abundance and initial trace element and isotopic compositions for the five lithologies, you can use REEBOX PRO to calculate the compositions of all melts generated from all lithologies (including all instantaneous melts, all column accumulated melts, and pooled melts) as well as the composition and thickness of the bulk igneous crust derived by mixing all generated melts.

Note that the Supporting Information is the User Guide.

Any questions or comments can be directed to Eric Brown.
