Our new Micro-XRF is here!
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is the emission of or fluorescent X-rays from a material that has been excited by bombarding with it X-rays.
We can use the new micro-XRF to examine the structure and composition of specimens, including the distribution of elements, the identification and analysis of single grains and the execution of line scans. We can also use it to do quick compositional pre-screening of thin sections and to the digitize thin sections before optical or electron microscope studies. Our new micro-XRF provides spot sizes down to 25 µm!
