Archaeobotanist (PhD, Senior KNA specialist Archaeobotany)
Archaeobotany uses plant remains from archaeological excavations to get a better understanding of people in the past. I have experience with find material from a wide range of archaeological periods and countries within the framework of both development-led archaeology and research.
Research interests and expertise: 1) neolithisation: plant use during the Mesolithic and Neolithic in NW Europe 2) wood analysis to detect woodland management 3) integrated archaeobotany based on multiple lines of archaeobotanical evidence.
