New paper by Hamed Sanei and Arka Rudra
"Geochemical evidence for the internal migration of gas condensate in a major unconventional tight petroleum system"
We are happy to announce release of a new paper co-authored by Arka and Hamed Sanei in the Scientific Reports. The title of the paper is: "Geochemical evidence for the internal migration of gas condensate in a major unconventional tight petroleum system."
Organic-rich sediments such as shale, siltstone, and mudrocks are the largest geological reservoir of organic carbon. They are believed to be closed systems and that is why they hold large quantity of carbon for geological time.
This paper shows that these systems could be in fact open and show regional migration, with some smaller molecules of hydrocarbon preferentially migrate through these tight systems.
