(The history of Denmark is rewritten: The Skrydstrup and Egtved girls were probably not cosmopolitans.)

The two iconic Bronze Age girls did not come from far away, and neither did most of the Vikings buried at Trelleborg. Yet the stories of these individuals are interesting, especially the Egtved girl. She probably lived part of the year in Vejle Ådal and part of the year on the heathland around Egtved. But why did the researchers really think that so many ancient people were immigrants?
