AMIRA

The AMIRA project 972, sponsored by mining industries,  is in collaboration with University of Conception, Chile and University of Oklahoma, USA. The study applies in-situ trace element geochemistry of apatite, tourmaline and rutile from porphyry Cu-Au deposits in Chile and Peru to discriminate potential exploration targets.

SE Greenland, Skjoldungen

SE Greenland, Skjoldungen.

A GEUS led study on the mineral potential of the alkaline province in the Skjoldungen area in South Greenland. Various studies on the evolution of alkaline intrusions and Archean basement rocks. The project includes age dating, geochemistry and petrology of the main lithologies as well as evaluation of the mineral potential of the region.
